Monitor Head
Situation: There is a light coming through the decal of the Monitor Head
Solution:
1. Check the Sensor cable. The decal light indicates a short circuit between the red wire of the Sensor cable and the black wire.
2. Disconnect the Grain Loss sensor connected to the Sieve channel. If the light goes out the Grain Loss sensor is faulty and must be replaced.
3. Disconnect the Grain Loss sensor connected to the Walker channel. If the light goes out the Grain Loss sensor is faulty and must be replaced.

Situation: The meter displays a loss reading as soon as the combine starts.
Solution:
1. Ensure the Grain Loss sensors are not in direct contact with the chassis or mounting plate. The Gran Loss sensors must have freedom to move on the rubber bushings.
2. Check the terminal strip and hitch connection for intermittent connections.
3. Ensure the red wire of the Power cable and the red wire of the Sensor cable are NOT connected.

Situation: The meter only displays a loss when set to Walker
Solution:
1. Check for a poor cable connection at the terminal strip and hitch connector.
2. Check the Sensor cable by disconnecting the Grain Loss sensor. Begin making and breaking a connection between the white and black wires of the Sensor cable. If no loss is displayed, repair or replace the Monitor Head.
3. If a loss is displayed, replace the Grain Loss sensor.

Situation:The meter only displays a loss when set to Sieve
Solution:
1. Check for a poor cable connection at the terminal strip and hitch connector.
2. Check the Sensor cable by disconnecting the Grain Loss sensor. Begin making and breaking a connection between the green and black wires of the Sensor cable. If no loss is displayed, repair or replace the Monitor Head.
3. If a loss is displayed, replace the Grain Loss sensor.

Grain Loss Sensor
Situation: The meter displays little or no loss even when the loss is high.
Solution:
1. Ensure the Grain Loss sensors are mounted directly in the path of the overflowing seed, and are easily shedding debris off of them.
2. Redo the Calibration procedure from the Before Starting section.

Situation:[size=13 The meter displays the Walker loss when set to Sieve[/size]
Solution:
1. Ensure the Grain Loss sensors are connected correctly. This problem indicates that the two green wires from the Grain Loss sensors have been reversed.
